Disintegrator Plus

Currently the only Needle Destruction Device (NDD) approved for home use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, The Disintegrator™ Plus enables patients who need to give themselves injections to properly and safely dispose of their used needles at home.

It uses patented technology that gives it distinct advantages over similar devices. A rechargeable battery delivers an electrical current to produce an arc of electricity directed at the tip of the needle. This arc of electricity melts the tip of the needle, at a temperature of over 3000 degrees, and disintegrates the needle in to a small bb-shaped ball, ensuring the elimination of any pathogens. Any balls of melted metal that fall off during the process are collected in to a chamber where the ash or ball is sealed and does not need to be emptied. The remaining stub of the needle on the hub is less than 1/16th of an inch in length.
