Christopher F. Tirotta, M.D., M.B.A. , CEO / Chairman of the Board
Dr. Tirotta is the Director of Cardiac Anesthesia of the Congenital Heart Institute of Miami Children's Hospital and Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Miami School of Medicine.
Dr. Tirotta founded Kidz-Med, Inc. in 1993. Its purpose was to create and sell educational books and videos for children on various health-related matters. Dr. Tirotta created and produced the widely acclaimed childrens pre-operative video, "A Hospital Trip with Dr. Bip," to explain to youngsters what to expect when they go to the hospital for surgery. It has sold thousands of copies across the English-speaking world. He also produced "Dr. Bip's New Baby Tips," a video designed to explain to young children what to expect when their mom brings home a new baby.
Dr. Tirotta graduated Cum Laude with a degree in biochemistry from Cornell University in 1982. He received his M.D. from New York University School of Medicine in 1986. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at SUNY Stony Brook in 1987 and his residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center in 1990. He received his MBA from Columbia University in 1999. He is also a Diplomat of the American Board of Anesthesiology and of the National Board of Medical Examiners.
Jason M. Roth
Since 1993, Mr. Roth, a successful entrepreneur and marketing specialist in the medical supply industry, has quickly established a successful track record of acquiring, growing and selling businesses -- mostly in medical supply industries -- for multiples of their annual sales figures.
Mr. Roth has participated in brand launches generating revenue in excess of $300 million dollars globally. Notably, he has served as marketing consultant to many multinational brands, from tourism to Fortune 500 companies, helping to create new advertising, marketing and sales campaigns.
Having established ties in the durable medical equipment community, he remains active in the American diabetes supply industry through a nationwide diabetes mail order company, which maintains a large physician referral base, as well as a medical device wholesale importer, which in its first year alone saved free clinics nearly $4.8 million USD in diabetes testing supplies, and has nearly 6000 points of distribution.
Thomas W. Materna, MD
Thomas W. Materna, MD is an ophthalmologist in the state of New Jersey. He earned a bachelor's degree from the College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, Massachusetts in 1966 and his medical degree in 1971 from the State University of New York's Downstate Medical Center, in Brooklyn. He did his surgical internship at New York Hospital's Cornell University Medical Center from 1971 through 1972.
Dr. Materna saw active duty as a general medical officer in the United States Navy. He was stationed in both Southeast Asia and Washington, D.C. He participated in family practice residency from 1974 through 1975 at King's County Hospital, Brooklyn, and an ophthalmology residency from 1975 through 1978 at the New York Eye, Ear, and Nose Hospital. He received his MBA from Rutgers University in 1991. He is a member of several professional societies, one being The Society of Medical Consultants for the Armed Forces. He has also served on the Board of Directors at Dezomark, a medical company in Lviv, Ukraine.
Mr. Felix Reznick studied law at both Boston College Law School and the New York University School of Law, receiving his law degree from Boston College Law School (J.D. 1998), and was a University and Dean's Scholar at the New York University Stern School of Business, receiving his undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance (B.S., cum laude, 1994). Since then, Mr. Reznick has practiced law at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft and Rosenman & Colin LLP.
In private practice at the Law Offices of Felix B. Reznick, Mr. Reznick is experienced in various types of law including corporate, employment, trust and estates, bankruptcy, real estate and general business. Having represented a diverse array of clientele including companies in the areas of media, film, Internet, software, cosmetic, food services, retail, and commercial real estate, he has also worked with investment banks and funds and not-for-profit foundations.
